This past Thursday, I achieved my goal of writing 50,000 words in the month of November. I started the month with around 22,000 words, which is why my final word count makes Thursday look incredibly productive. Participating in NaNoWriMo was a spur-of-the-moment decision, but I am very grateful that I did. It forced me to make writing a priority for the month of November, and I wrote every single day. Although it meant sacrificing other priorities in my life, I am happy to now have a draft of a new manuscript to revise. If you want to know more about NaNoWriMo's efforts to support writers or their events throughout the year, check out their website, join their community, or consider donating to further support.
